Namiki Sota is seen as an eccentric by those around him and struggles to fit in with society. He is currently on leave from his company and is in charge of household chores. One windy day, while Sota is bringing in the laundry, he drops his wife Yui's panties into the river that flows in front of their house. He immediately chases after them but is unable to retrieve them, and Sota becomes obsessed with the panties, unable to get them out of his head.
That night, as the wind howls, Sota can no longer bear it and rushes out of the house, plunging into the river to retrieve the panties, causing a huge commotion. Yui, an aspiring manga artist, finds the events of that night amusing and draws a manga about it. This manga prompts Sota to take a drastic action…
