The legendary strategist of the Three Kingdoms, Zhuge Kongming, was mysteriously reborn in modern-day Shibuya. Mesmerized by the singing voice of amateur singer Tsukimi Eiko, Kongming decided to team up with Eiko to aim for "universal peace" through the power of music. Meanwhile, a music battle festival is set to take place, where Japan's three major music labels—KEY TIME, SSS Music, and V-EX—compete for the top spot. As formidable artists from each label gather, Kongming and Eiko decide to join the battle as well. However, standing in their way are the descendants of Sima Yi, who was Kongming's archrival from the Three Kingdoms period, Shima Jun and Shin.
